Lucky got her name when a good semeritan grabbed her from the streets after she was almost hit by a car. Unfortunately, her sister did not make it.
After a vet visit, Lucky turned out to be expecting! She is safe at Pathways & delivered 6 puppies (3 males, 3 females) early this morning! This is not her first litter but it will be her last! While the puppies are cute, mama is exhausted. Its heartbreaking that so many go through this alone & don’t have the same future. This is why spay/neuter is so important.

They are feeling better now & all puppy! They fight, wrestle, chew & play!

Monday we received a call from Nancy J. Brua Animal Care Center in Sierra Vista that one of our previously adopted dogs had been owner surrendered the evening before Thanksgiving.
The officer explained that he was terrified & asked us if we wanted him back & the answer will always be yes. We are grateful they took the appropriate steps in contacting us & he is safely back at Pathways.
This is a prime example why all dogs adopted from Pathways for Paws are microchipped with a shared chip registry.
We understand things don’t always go as planned. At Pathways for Paws, every adopter leaves knowing the dog is to be returned back to us if any unforeseen circumstances arise & they’re no longer able to care for the dog. No questions asked.
