Minga is a female poodle mix around 2 years old. She is spayed, microchipped & UTD on her vaccines. She weighs around 10lbs. We feel she would do well in a home with another dog that is welcoming & can help show her the ropes in a new environment.
Minga was found as a stray & had to be humanely trapped. She came to Pathways 3 months ago & has made great progress given the fact we do not know her history. She has been around small & large dogs. We are unsure about cats. She would do well in a home with older kids as she is still very nervous with quick movements & loud noises. She goes potty outside by being let out but still has accidents. She has never been on a leash/harness & must go to a home with a secured, attached yard as she is a flight risk. She is not currently at a point where she could safely go for walks! When her foster mom gets home, she squeals with excitement & her tail doesn’t stop wagging. Her favorite place to be is on top of the couch. She enjoys treats & is very observant. She loves to cuddle up on her lap & sleeps with her in bed at night. She prefers having someone to follow & thrives on routine. She also does wonderful at the groomer & will need consistent grooming (every 3-4 months).
Minga has never shown any signs of aggression even with how unsure she is. She doesn’t enjoy being picked up & will freeze when you approach her but will allow it. She is very tolerant.
Please keep in mind, this is her current progress after 3 months - we can all agree she is cute, but she needs a family willing to continue working with her with no expectations of her!
