URGENT COURTESY POST - located in San Carlos, Mexico!
From his foster: “Santana is eager to learn. He sleeps in a crate with another puppy. He goes to a toilet area to relieve himself. He likes playing with other dogs but is nervous until he gets to know them. He’s learning that people are okay, so while nervous he responds well to them, especially if treats are offered. He likes to observe things. He knows to sit to get food and treats and can be taught to learn down and other dog commands. He’s a puppy so learning to wait will take work. He’s been walking on leash a bit and is comfortanble with being on leash, with some help from kibble. He’ll be an easy puppy to train as he responds well to food and direction. He likes being petted and likes to give kisses to your hand and arms. While unsure about new things, he’s willing to check them out if treats are offered. He likes to explore when off leash and will come back for food.
He’s been neutered, up to date on vaccines per his age & is around 5 months old. He has the colouring of a golden or duck toller retriever with floppy ears like a lab. Estimate is about 20lbs or so, expect once he fills out, he’ll be under 40lbs. Mostly legs right now. Has seen cats around but unsure how he’ll react when closer to him. Has seen kids but hasn’t been in close contact with many. He likes to have toys to play with although squeaky ones still seem odd to him.”

From her foster: “Shakila is a shy dog that’s learning to respond to people. Wags tail when she sees you coming but retreats to crate when closer. She likes to play with puppies once she gets to know them. she’s an escape artist so will need a fenced area. she’ll stick close at hand and will follow you or your dogs. she’ll need someone with patience to help her learn to go willingly to people. she’s willing to be petted and not aggressive to people. she’ll come greet you in the morning and may kiss your hand. Does respond to getting kibble or fruit. She has a separate area for toileting so house training shouldn’t be challenging. She’s gentle when taking food and takes awhile to eat.She has beautiful colouring similar to a gsd but is about the size of a whippet. She’s been vaccinated and spayed.”

From his foster: “Cohen likes to explore when running around. He’s fast and likes to chase or be chased by other dogs. He’ll likely be a good running partner, which will take time to train, although he walks nicely on leash. He loves going for walks or running around off leash. Strange dogs are an uncertainity for him, although is curious about them, he plays well with dogs he knows so he’ll need some socialization with new dogs. He likes to give kisses to hands and responds to being offered food. He sleeps in a crate with other dogs but will also sleep on his own in a crate. He uses a toileting area separate from his sleeping area so house training shouldn’t be difficult. He sits to get food, although ‘wait’ on command will take more time. he’s neutered and has had some vaccines. He’s bouncy like a boxer. he’s seen cats from a distance wandering around and doesn't seem to react but unsure if they are closer to him. He hasn’t been around many kids but don’t think that will be a problem. He likes to watch people and the world around him, likes to have toys to play with although still learning to play with people. The squeaky toys still seem odd to him.
Cohen is around 5 months old. Similar in looks to visla/hunting hound, probably around 20lbs or so and will likely grow to 30-40lbs when fully grown. While nervous he did well at the finish line of a marathon recently held with lots of strangers, music and kids.”
